Our Expert Opinion of the Roomba 694

The Roomba's suction power really stands out for me; it's small but mighty, picking up daily dust and cruising from hardwood to carpet without a hitch.

I was honestly surprised by its smooth transition, especially after some mixed reviews I'd seen.

Plus, I've been using it for months now, and it's as sturdy and reliable as day one — definitely worth the price for the convenience it brings to my routine.

What really caught me off guard was how easy it is to move around; I can just pick it up and take it upstairs, no problem.

When I stack it up against the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the Roomba 694 just seems to last longer without any fuss.

It's simpler to get up and running compared to the iRobot Roomba Combo j7+, perfect for someone who isn't all that into tech.

And if we're talking pet hair, my Roomba 694 doesn't just push it around like the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ sometimes does.

This little machine is the latest from iRobot, and it's smart, alright. It's got this iRobot Genius™ tech that makes navigation a breeze, and it works with Google Assistant and Alexa which is pretty neat for hands-free control.

The best part? It learns my cleaning patterns and even suggests new cleaning schedules to make my life easier. Now that's what I call a smart vacuum.

Our Ratings of the Roomba 694

    Suction Power 8.7
The Roomba 694 has strong suction power that is able to pick up dirt, dust, and debris from carpets and hard floors. However, it is not as powerful as some of the more expensive robot vacuums on the market.
    Filtration System Quality 7.4
The Roomba 694 has a good filtration system that is able to capture allergens and dust particles. However, it is not as effective as some of the more expensive robot vacuums on the market.
Price & Value for Money 9.2
The Roomba 694 is a very affordable robot vacuum cleaner that offers good value for money. It is a great option for people who are looking for a basic robot vacuum cleaner that will do a good job of cleaning their floors.
    Durability & Build Quality 8.6
The Roomba 694 is a well-built robot vacuum cleaner that is able to withstand regular use. It is made from durable materials and is easy to clean and maintain.
    Weight & Portability 9.1
The Roomba 694 is a very lightweight and portable robot vacuum cleaner. It is easy to pick up and move around your home.
    Cord vs Cordless 8.0
The Roomba 694 is a cordless robot vacuum cleaner, which is a major advantage. Cordless robot vacuums are much more convenient to use than corded robot vacuums, as you do not have to worry about tripping over a cord.

    Pros of the Roomba 694

    • Efficient & Smart - I find the Roomba 694 to be a game-changer with its ability to efficiently clean various surfaces and pet hair. It impressively navigates around obstacles and tight spaces, and the Wi-Fi connectivity adds a layer of convenience for me.
    • Value for Money - I consider the Roomba 694 a good investment. It maintains my floors with minimal effort on my part, offering a balance between cost and functionality that I appreciate.
    • Durability - After months of use, my Roomba 694 continues to operate without signs of wear or malfunction, proving to be a durable and reliable appliance in my home.

    Cons of the Roomba 694

    • Limited Object Avoidance - My Roomba 694 lacks advanced mapping and object avoidance, leading to frequent incidents of it getting stuck on furniture or missing large areas of the floor.
    • Inconsistent Suction & Maintenance - I have to clean the brush daily to prevent clogging from pet fur and human hair, as the suction isn't strong enough to handle large amounts of debris.
    • Learning Curve & Reliability Issues - Despite its claims, my Roomba 694 sometimes gets stuck in the same places or fails to start at scheduled times, which causes me frustration and doubts about its reliability.

Great for hands-off cleaning and versatile surfaces.

Our Expert Opinion of the ZCWA Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

I've been around the block with robot vacuums, and this ZCWA model grabs my attention with its beefy suction power.

It's like it sees pet hair and crumbs and just pounces, leaving nothing behind as it dances from tile to carpet. I've got to say, the air smells cleaner after it runs its course, thanks to that top-notch filtration system.

But I have to admit, the thing feels a bit light in the build department, which makes me wonder about its staying power. And here's the kicker – it's super quiet.

I mean, you'd expect a little roar with such strong suction, but nope, it's all stealth.

When I put the ZCWA up against big names like the Roomba j7+ and the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, it doesn't just keep up; it leads in the pet hair game.

And while it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni, it's the one I'd reach for day-to-day – it just gets the job done with no fuss and in silence.

Stepping into the ring with the latest and greatest, this ZCWA isn't just another pretty face.

It's got the muscle where it counts – stronger suction, longer battery life, a bigger bin, and smart navigation.

If you need a vacuum that can handle the switch from kitchen tiles to living room carpet without missing a beat, and you don't want to empty it every five minutes or charge it every hour, this is your guy.

Price & Value for Money 9.5
The Lefant M210 is a very affordable robot vacuum cleaner, and it offers excellent value for money. It has a lot of features that are typically found in more expensive models, such as app control, voice control, and scheduled cleaning.
    Durability & Build Quality 8.6
The Lefant M210 is well-built and seems durable. It has a sturdy plastic body and good quality wheels and brushes.

Who’s the ZCWA Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo For?

    • Pet Owners - It excels in picking up pet hair and keeping floors free of fur.
    • Tech-Savvy Users - The intuitive app makes it a convenient choice for those comfortable with smart technology.
    • Homeowners with Large Floor Areas - Its ability to cover extensive ground efficiently makes it ideal for larger homes.

Who Should Avoid the ZCWA Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo?

    • Individuals with High-Maintenance Furniture - Its tendency to get stuck under low-clearance furniture would be a hassle.
    • Heavy Carpet Users - The mop function cannot differentiate between hard floors and carpets, posing a risk of dampening carpets inadvertently.

Here are its pros, cons, and key specs you should know.

Pros of the ZCWA Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

    • Suction Power & Cleaning Efficiency - The vacuum's suction power is remarkable, particularly for picking up pet hair. It makes a noticeable difference in keeping the floors clean on a daily basis.
    • Smart Navigation - The cleaning pattern is efficient and systematic, covering the perimeter first and then filling in the interior in straight lines, which is a significant improvement over older models I've used.
    • Ease of Maintenance - I've found the maintenance to be quite user-friendly; even cleaning the base pan is as simple as popping it out and rinsing it.
    • App Functionality - The companion app is impressive—it's intuitive and works just as one would expect, adding a layer of convenience to the cleaning process.
    • Large Area Coverage - For a house as busy as mine, with kids and a large floor area, this vacuum covers a lot of ground and picks up an impressive amount of dirt, hair, and dust.

Cons of the ZCWA Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

    • Mop Function Limitations - The mopping feature is not as developed as I'd like. It doesn't distinguish between carpeted and hard floors, which means I have to set up barriers or remove rugs beforehand, which is inconvenient.
    • Build Quality Concerns - There are some inconsistencies in the build quality, particularly with the intake brushes and the docking station, which sometimes gets knocked aside by the vacuum instead of allowing it to dock.
    • Design Flaws - Despite the sleek design, the vacuum frequently gets stuck under furniture like couches and cabinets, requiring constant supervision to prevent this from happening.

Decent choice for small apartments or minimalistic spaces.

Our Expert Opinion of the Lefant M210

I've been using the Lefant M210 and it's a game changer for pet hair.

This little machine glides over my hardwood floors and makes quick work of the fuzz balls my retriever leaves behind. It even switches to rugs and tiles without skipping a beat.

What I love is its compact size, but don't let that fool you; the filtration is top-notch, although it does need a clean out now and then.

It's sturdy, yet I can whisk it from room to room with ease because it's so light. And the cost? Totally reasonable.

Now, thresholds can be a real challenge for robot vacuums, but not for my M210. It just hops over them better than the eufy RoboVac G30 ever could.

I've tried the Roborock E5 and the Roomba 694 as well, and they're smart, but when it comes to getting your money's worth, the M210 wins hands down.

I don't even hesitate to carry it upstairs; it's that lightweight.

Being the latest in Lefant's lineup, the M210's got this strong suction power that doesn't quit, and its carpet boost feature is a nice touch.

It runs quieter too, thanks to the brushless motor. So for anyone with pets, it's a solid pick.

It's been making my life easier, and I'm pretty sure it'll impress any pet owner out there.

    • Noise-Sensitive Individuals - It operates loudly, which can be disruptive.
    • Tech-Savvy Users - Lacks advanced navigation and smart features for a high-tech home.

Here are its pros, cons, and key specs you should know.

    Pros of the Lefant M210

    • Suction Power & Filtration - I'm impressed by the vacuum's strong suction capabilities that effectively pick up pet hair and dust, especially on hardwood floors. The filter captures so much, I need to clean it often, which tells me it's working hard.
    • Versatility on Various Surfaces - It cleans my area rugs just fine and manages to climb over the fluffy ones, showing it's quite versatile on different surfaces, from hardwood to tile.
    • Ease of Use & Maintenance - I find this vacuum very easy to use and maintain. It comes with spare parts, and the app is a great addition that lets me control the suction and set cleaning schedules.
    • Durability & Customer Service - When I had issues with my vacuum, the customer service was very helpful and eventually replaced my unit, which I appreciate as it shows they stand by their product.
    • Value for Money - I highly recommend this vacuum, especially if you can get it on discount. It may not be the smartest, but it surely does its job well, offering great value for money.

    Cons of the Lefant M210

    • Navigation & Smart Features - My vacuum struggles with navigation; it tries to climb everything and often gets stuck, making it seem less intelligent compared to others.
    • Noise Level - The vacuum is quite loud during its operation. The noise is especially noticeable when it tries to dock or if it becomes stuck, which can be quite disruptive.
    • Longevity & Reliability - I was disappointed when my vacuum stopped working in less than a year. Despite all my efforts to troubleshoot, it just wouldn't respond, calling into question its longevity and reliability.

Our Expert Opinion of the Roomba j7+

I've got to say, the suction on this little machine is impressive; it just sweeps up all the pet hair and dirt without breaking a sweat.

It navigates between my rugs and hardwood floors seamlessly, keeping the clean consistent all around.

And the filtration? Better than I expected – it's like a tiny allergen bouncer at the door.

Sure, it's a bit pricey, but when you feel the solid build and see it in action, it's worth every penny. Plus, it's lighter than you'd think, which is a huge plus when I need to move it upstairs.

Now, when I put it head-to-head with the Shark IQ, the j7+ just dodges obstacles like a champ, something the Shark struggles with.

And while the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra may have the mopping edge, I'm all about that user-friendly app on the j7+.

In terms of storage and getting around those tight spots, the j7+ takes the cake compared to the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni – it fits into my life just right.

When I first got the j7+, with its promises of precision vision navigation and supercharged suction, I was skeptical.

But it lives up to the hype, especially with pet hair – which, if you have pets, you know is the real test.

This vacuum doesn't just clean; it's like having a smart, dirt-hunting sidekick at home.

Our Ratings of the Roomba j7+

    Suction Power 9.5
The Roomba j7+ boasts 10x the power-lifting suction of previous Roomba models, effectively picking up dirt, debris, and pet hair from various surfaces. Its suction power is particularly impressive on carpets, where it can deeply clean and remove embedded dirt and dust.
    Filtration System Quality 9.2
The Roomba j7+ employs a 3-stage filtration system, including a pre-filter, a HEPA filter, and a post-filter, to capture up to 99.97% of airborne allergens, dust, and pet dander. This makes it an excellent choice for allergy sufferers or those with pets.
Price & Value for Money 8.3
The Roomba j7+ falls in the premium range of robot vacuums, with a price tag that reflects its advanced features and performance. However, it offers excellent value for money considering its powerful suction, intelligent navigation, and self-emptying base.
    Durability & Build Quality 9.4
The Roomba j7+ is constructed from high-quality materials and feels solid and sturdy. Its wheels are durable and can handle various surfaces, from carpets to hard floors. The overall build quality suggests that it can withstand regular use and last for several years.
    Weight & Portability 9.1
The Roomba j7+ is lightweight and compact, making it easy to move around the house. It can easily fit under furniture and navigate tight spaces. Its portability is particularly convenient when carrying it to different rooms or for storage.
    Cord vs Cordless 8.0
The Roomba j7+ is a cordless robot vacuum, which eliminates the hassle of dealing with cords. This allows it to move freely around the house without getting tangled or restricting its cleaning range. Cordless operation enhances its versatility and convenience.

    • Tech Enthusiasts - Features advanced software for a smart, hassle-free cleaning experience.

Who Should Avoid the Roomba j7+?

    • Budget-Conscious Shoppers - The high cost and maintenance might not align with budget limitations.
    • Homes With High-Maintenance Floors - May struggle with complex navigation and thorough cleaning on certain floor types.

Here are its pros, cons, and key specs you should know.

    Pros of the Roomba j7+

    • Ease of Use & Fun - Bruno, my Roomba, has made maintaining my dark hardwood floors a breeze. It's simple to use and even adds a bit of joy to daily chores.
    • Pet Hair Management - With two dogs and two cats, my Roomba is a lifesaver. The floors are always free of pet hair, and the self-emptying feature means I don't have to worry about cleaning it out after every use.
    • Software Reliability - Upgrading to the J7+ was a great decision. Its software is far superior, offering reliable cleaning that outshines the top-of-the-line S9+.
    • Scheduled Cleaning - The ability to have the Roomba clean different sections of the house on a schedule ensures that no area is neglected for more than two days.
    • Suction Power - The Roomba's suction is strong enough to handle daily cleaning without fail, keeping my floors pristine.

    Cons of the Roomba j7+

    • Quality Concerns - My latest iRobot Roomba j7+ has been a letdown. It struggles with basic navigation, which is frustrating and makes me question the brand's current quality standards.
    • Filtration System Design - The base station's bag is a hassle when dealing with hair; it's not user-friendly and requires frequent and unpleasant maintenance, which is disappointing considering the cost of replacement bags.
    • Sensor Effectiveness - The Roomba's supposed ability to detect pet accidents fell short. It created a bigger mess, dragging the waste across my floors, which was a nightmare to clean up.

Initially, I doubted the hype, but the Roborock S7+'s suction power is impressive – not a single speck remains.

It glides across various floor types, from carpets to hardwood, cleaning efficiently and proving itself a real asset in a diverse home like mine.

For me, its filtration system is a blessing, capturing even the tiniest dust particles and easing my allergy concerns.

The vacuum's sturdy construction assures me it's built to last through countless cleaning sessions.

What's more, the value is undeniable, thanks to its price and the surprisingly effective mopping feature that stands out from other models.

In a direct comparison with the iRobot Roomba j7+, eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid, and Shark IQ AV1002AE, the Roborock clearly leads the pack.

It boasts a mopping function that the Roomba j7+ simply can't match.

With the eufy and Shark, the Roborock maintains its superiority, with consistent suction and intelligent mapping for comprehensive cleaning.

As for the Roborock S7+, it elevates cleaning with innovative VibraRise sonic vibration technology, lifting mops sonically, an Auto-Empty Dock, and ReactiveAI for dodging obstacles.

It vibrates the mop thousands of times a minute, tackling dried stains 30% more effectively than average robot mops, and it smartly avoids soaking carpets.

Here are its pros, cons, and key specs you should know.

    Pros of the Roborock S7+

    • Outstanding Build Quality & Maintenance - I'm really impressed with the build quality of the Roborock S7+. It's a well-designed machine that's easy for me to maintain.
    • Smart Navigation & App Functionality - I love the laser control navigation; it works flawlessly in my home. The app is fantastic for dividing the space into rooms, making cleaning specific areas a breeze.
    • Effective Suction & Allergy Relief - The suction power is great at picking up dirt, and as an allergy sufferer, I appreciate the robust filtration system that helps keep my home dust-free.

    Cons of the Roborock S7+

    • Mopping Performance - I've noticed the mopping function could be better. It doesn't reach the last 2cm to the edge and sometimes misses dried spots, so I occasionally have to mop those areas myself.
    • Height & Noise Concerns - The vacuum's height doesn't allow it to fit under my sofa, and the noise level is a bit more than I'd like, especially when compared to other models I've considered.
    • Part Replacement & Service Hassles - I've had a less than satisfactory experience with customer service regarding part replacements. When I needed to replace a simple rubber part, the process was more complicated and time-consuming than necessary.

Our Expert Opinion of the Roomba s9+

I've put the Roomba through its paces, and the suction power really stands out; it seamlessly ramps up when it transitions from hardwood to carpet.

The filtration system is impressive, effortlessly capturing fine pet dander and reducing allergens in the home.

Its robust build quality doesn't compromise its agility, as it deftly navigates through tight spots.

Despite its high price, the advanced features and solid performance deliver real value.

What really caught me off guard was the self-emptying feature—it's much quieter than I anticipated, diverging nicely from the manufacturer's specs.

When comparing it to other models, the Roomba s9+ shines in suction and edge-cleaning, surpassing the eufy G30 with ease on carpeted surfaces.

While the j7+ is adept at navigating, the s9+'s deep-cleaning capabilities are on another level, thanks to its robust suction.

The Shark IQ does boast a large base, yet the s9+'s self-emptying mechanism is both quieter and more efficient.

Released in 2022, the Roomba s9+ is iRobot's top-tier model, boasting innovative tools like the PerfectEdge and PrecisionClean brushes, along with the Imprint Smart Mapping system and a self-emptying base.

It's compatible with Genius Home Intelligence, providing user-friendly control via voice or app, and excels in cleaning along walls, baseboards, and across both carpets and hard floors.

The Roomba s9+ has a 3-stage filtration system that captures up to 99% of allergens and dust particles. This makes it a good choice for people with allergies or who are sensitive to dust.
Price & Value for Money 7.6
The Roomba s9+ is one of the most expensive robot vacuums on the market. However, it is also one of the most powerful and feature-rich robot vacuums available. • Tech Enthusiasts - Offers smart home integration and programmable cleaning zones for high-tech households.
    • Busy Professionals - Automates cleaning schedules, allowing for a clean home after work without effort.

Who Should Avoid the Roomba s9+?

    • Light Sleepers - The high noise level can disrupt sleep or quiet activities.
    • Minimal Threshold Homes - Struggles with even minor thresholds, limiting its mopping function.

Here are its pros, cons, and key specs you should know.

    Pros of the Roomba s9+

    • Suction Power & Cleaning Performance - I am impressed with the suction power; it ramps up automatically when transitioning from hardwood to carpet, ensuring thorough cleaning. The edge brush is a real game-changer, capturing debris along the walls that my previous vacuums would miss.
    • Smart Mapping & Automation - The auto-mapping feature is quite accurate and enhances the vacuuming experience by allowing me to set 'Keep Out' zones. I love how it integrates with my smart home system, allowing me to clean specific spots through voice commands with Alexa.
    • Self-Cleaning & Notifications - The self-emptying feature of the base station is a highlight, sparing me the chore of emptying the vacuum after each use. Plus, the app notifications for maintenance, like servicing the brushes, are incredibly helpful.
    • User Interface & Customization - The app is user-friendly and makes setting up the vacuum a breeze. Being able to create zones and customize cleaning areas adds a level of personalization that I appreciate in my daily routine.
    • Filtration & Allergen Reduction - The HEPA-lite filter is effective, especially for pet dander, which is a significant plus for me. It seems to make a difference in the air quality, and I haven't had to deal with allergies as much since I started using this vacuum.

    Cons of the Roomba s9+

    • Noise Level - The noise level is a downside. It's quite loud, and the sound it makes when docking and emptying can be jarring, which is not ideal when I'm looking for a quieter cleaning solution.
    • Mapping Inconsistencies - There are some issues with the mapping technology. It sometimes creates unnecessary extra rooms on the map or struggles with finding its way back, which can be frustrating when I expect a smart system to work flawlessly.
    • Mopping Performance - The mopping function doesn't always meet expectations. The water sprayer on the mop can clog, and it struggles with minor thresholds, which is disappointing when I need it to seamlessly transition between different floor types.

Our Expert Opinion of the Roomba 692

I've got to say, the Roomba 692 really takes the cake with its suction power. It just breezes through pet hair and daily grime like nobody's business.

I've watched it glide over various types of flooring, leaving my hardwood and carpets looking pristine.

And the filtration system? A real standout during my renovation, it snagged all that fine dust without a hitch.

It's sturdy, sure, but what I love is how light it is — makes it super easy to move it wherever I need to.

Now, putting it up against some heavy hitters: the Roomba 692 just has a way with pet hair that the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra can't quite match.

The Shark IQ Robot has this cool self-empty feature, but for the day-to-day messes, I'm all about the 692's straightforward, no-fuss approach.

And the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni? It's got all the bells and whistles for navigation, but my 692 keeps its cool, cleaning evenly and thoroughly no matter the surface.

Upgrading from the Roomba 675, the 692 is like the new kid on the block who's already the class president — smarter with personalized cleaning tips, way stronger suction, and it dodges obstacles like a champ.

The best part? It keeps my floors spotless whether I'm around or not, making my life a whole lot easier.

    Cons of the Roomba 692

    • Navigation & Docking Challenges - There are times when the vacuum behaves erratically, gets stuck, or fails to find its way back to the charger. It seems to lack the ability to avoid certain obstacles effectively.
    • Noise Level & Maintenance Issues - The vacuum is noisy, and it's a struggle to send it back to the charger manually if it's too far away. It sometimes moves the base, which makes docking difficult.
    • Limitations on Certain Surfaces & Connectivity Issues - Rugs can be a problem; it either tries to vacuum them up or gets confused by the patterns. Additionally, there have been frustrations with connecting the device to WiFi, despite extensive technical expertise and a robust home network setup.

Our Expert Opinion of the Shark AV2501S

I've had my hands on the Shark AV2501S, and let me tell you, it doesn't just meet expectations; it surpasses them.

It tackles the daily grind of dirt and pet fur with such ease, and I love how it doesn’t miss a beat when it moves from carpet to hardwood floors.

The filtration is a real win for me — it traps all that dust and dander, although, yeah, I do have to empty it more often thanks to my shedding dog.

The build is sturdy, which you wouldn’t guess from the price — that’s some serious bang for your buck.

And it’s lighter than it looks, so moving it around is a breeze without feeling flimsy, which was a really nice surprise.

Now, when I compared it to the Roomba j7+, the Shark just did better with suction on my carpets — it got more grit and hair out of them.

Up against the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, the Shark’s filtration nailed it, catching all those tiny particles.

And the Deebot X1 Omni? It’s not bad, but the Shark gives you that level of clean without the hit to your wallet.

The AV2501S is Shark’s new kid on the block, and it’s packed with improvements.

We're talking a self-emptying base that's good for two months and a navigation system that's sharper than before.

Plus, the brushroll has been tweaked for pet hair, which, for me and my furry friends, makes it a standout choice.

Here are its pros, cons, and key specs you should know.

    Pros of the Shark AV2501S

    • Portability & Ease of Use - I appreciate how easy it is to move this vacuum around. The scheduling feature is a boon, and I love being able to command it via Google Assistant for an easy, hands-off cleaning session.
    • App Features & Automation - The app impresses me with its capability to schedule cleanings, target specific areas for intense cleaning, and control the vacuum remotely, making for a seamless cleaning experience.

    Cons of the Shark AV2501S

Our Expert Opinion of the XIEBro Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

This combo vacuum and mop really does the trick, powering through my daily mess with a strong suction that rivals the ECOVACS Deebot.

I've got to admit, it transitions smoothly from my hardwood to the carpet, never missing a beat.

And, I was genuinely taken aback by the filtration system; it nabbed dust I couldn't even see.

Now, I have heard some chatter about its longevity, which makes me a tad cautious.

But what really caught me off guard was how slim it is—it just slides right under my couch, a cool perk they don't really hype up.

Now, when I put it up against the big names like Dreametech and Roborock, the XIEBro holds its own, especially with its sleek design that slips into tight spots the others can't.

And here's the kicker: it does all this without costing a fortune, giving the high-end S7 MaxV Ultra a run for its money.

The latest model from XIEBro? It's a step up, for sure—with stronger suction, bigger bins, and smarter navigation.

I'm telling you, it's making the chore of picking up after my furry friends a whole lot easier, and that's saying something.

Here are its pros, cons, and key specs you should know.

Pros of the XIEBro Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

    • Suction Power & Cleaning Performance on Different Floor Types - The 2000 Pa suction power is impressive, handling a variety of surfaces and pet hair. Its systematic cleaning pattern on floors like wood and tile is effective, and it can navigate different room types with its mapping capabilities.

Cons of the XIEBro Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

    • Suction Power & Cleaning Performance on Different Floor Types - There are issues with the vacuum's ability to handle hair, with frequent manual removal required when hair gets caught in the spinners. Additionally, the lack of advanced mapping can lead to inefficient cleaning paths and difficulty transitioning from hardwood to carpet.
    • Filtration System Quality & Durability and Build Quality - One unit ceased working within the first week, and a replacement also failed after a month, indicating potential durability and quality control issues.
    • Price & Value for Money - Considering the functional failures and safety concerns due to a slippery floor after mopping, the high price point is brought into question, casting doubt on the vacuum's overall value for money.

Other Robot Vacuums for Pet Hair I Tested

We gave the Shark IQ Robot, Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid, and Tikom Robot Vacuum a whirl, but they didn't quite sweep us off our feet for a spot in our top pet hair vacuum picks.

Here is what I found out:

    Shark IQ Robot

After testing the Shark IQ Robot, I've noticed it tends to struggle with long pet hairs getting tangled in the brush—maintenance is key here.

The mapping feature? Quite a headache, honestly, as it often gets rooms mixed up or misses them entirely.

Plus, the single side brush doesn't quite catch all the dirt along the edges as you'd hope.

    Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid

I've tested the Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid and while it's got some nifty features like lidar navigation, the mopping function is pretty underwhelming—it's like it's just pushing a damp cloth around.

The real kicker is the battery life; it doesn't even last a year, so you might spend a good chunk of change on replacements.

And if you don't prep your space before each clean, it's prone to getting stuck—feels like you're the one doing the navigating, not the vacuum.

    Tikom Robot Vacuum

I've given the Tikom Robot Vacuum a spin, and while its suction doesn't disappoint, it's the navigation that's a bit of a letdown—it often needs a nudge to get over moldings and can get hung up in the same spot.

The setup with black tape for boundaries feels like a step back in tech, especially when I'm used to the smarter, invisible barriers of other brands.

Plus, if your place has got character with lots of nooks and crannies, this bot might end up biting off more than it can chew.

What Robot Vacuums for Pet Hair Should You Avoid?

I'd steer clear of the ROPVACNIC Robot Vacuum Cleaner if you're dealing with pet hair; it just doesn't do the job as well as the AIRROBO Robot Vacuum Cleaner.

    Here is why:

    AIRROBO Robot Vacuum Cleaner

In my time testing the AIRROBO Robot Vacuum Cleaner, I've found it really struggles with pet hair, often just blowing it around instead of picking it up.

The navigation is a bit of a headache, too; it tends to wander off course and can spend an age trying to dock.

And if you've got carpets? Brace yourself for a barrage of 'I'm stuck' alerts—this bot doesn't seem to play nice with them at all.

    ROPVACNIC Robot Vacuum Cleaner

From my experience, the ROPVACNIC Robot Vacuum Cleaner starts off strong, but give it a few months and you'll be plugging it in manually to charge.

It's decent on hardwood and for light cleans, but on carpets, especially with pet hair, it just doesn't have the oomph.

And the battery life? It's okay, but you'll find yourself emptying and cleaning it quite often to keep it running smoothly.

My Recommended Robot Vacuum for Pet Hair: Roomba 694

The Roomba 694 is my go-to recommendation for its exceptional suction power that handles daily messes with ease on both carpets and hardwood floors.

I'm consistently impressed by its durability and the convenience it adds to my life, proving to be a solid, reliable cleaner months in.

Plus, its portability is a game-changer, making it super easy to move between floors.
