Excellent for everyday use in small to medium-sized rooms.

Our Expert Opinion of the LEVOIT Core 300 Air Purifier

The LEVOIT Core 300 boasts an exceptional filtration system, effortlessly capturing minute particles for the freshest air.

In my tests on different floor types, it consistently gathered dust and allergens. Its build suggests both durability and sleek design.

The value for its price is genuinely remarkable, making it a smart health investment.

And, despite its powerhouse performance, I found it refreshingly lightweight and portable, a pleasant surprise from the specs.

Compared to the Honeywell HPA5300B, the Core 300's filtration is superior.

Though the Coway Airmega 400 covers larger areas, the Core 300's design is compact and stylish.

And while the Blueair Blue Pure 411 excels in smaller spaces, the Core 300's adaptability across room sizes stands out.

Upgraded from its predecessors, the LEVOIT Core 300 features a True HEPA filter, capturing an impressive 99.97% of tiny airborne particles.

It's also quieter, humming as low as 24 decibels, and conserves energy, using up to 50% less than older models.

This positions the Core 300 as a top pick among the quietest and most efficient air purifiers.

Our Ratings of the LEVOIT Core 300 Air Purifier

    CADR 8.7
The LEVOIT Core 300 has a CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) of 135 CFM, which is sufficient for rooms up to 219 square feet. This is a good CADR for a small to medium-sized room.
    Filtration System Quality 9.6
The LEVOIT Core 300 uses a 3-in-1 True HEPA filter, which removes 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 microns or larger. This includes dust, pollen, smoke, and pet dander. The filter also has a layer of activated carbon to remove odors and VOCs.
Price & Value for Money 9.8
The LEVOIT Core 300 is very affordable, especially considering its good performance. It is also one of the
    Durability & Build Quality 8.6
The LEVOIT Core 300 is well-built and feels sturdy. It is also relatively quiet, especially on the lower fan settings.
    Weight & Portability 9.7
The LEVOIT Core 300 is lightweight and portable, making it easy to move from room to room. It also has a built-in handle for easy carrying.
    Cord vs Cordless 8.0
The LEVOIT Core 300 is corded, which means you will need to plug it into an outlet to use it. However, this is not a major drawback, as most air purifiers are corded.

Who’s the LEVOIT Core 300 Air Purifier For?

    • Allergy Sufferers - It effectively captures allergens, reducing symptoms and improving indoor air quality.
    • Pet Owners - It tackles pet dander and odors, creating a fresher living environment.
    • Cooks & Food Enthusiasts - Say goodbye to lingering cooking smells that permeate the home.

Who Should Avoid the LEVOIT Core 300 Air Purifier?

    • Large Space Occupants - It's designed for medium-sized spaces, making it less efficient in expansive areas.
    • Noise-Sensitive Individuals - On high settings, it might be louder than preferred for some users.

Here are its pros, cons, and key specs you should know.

Pros of the LEVOIT Core 300 Air Purifier

    • Suction Power & Cleaning Performance on Different Floor Types - Trust me when I say the LEVOIT Air Purifier doesn't mess around. That H13 True HEPA filter? It's a beast. I've seen it trap tiny particles, even as small as 0.3 microns. Whether it's pesky allergens, the fluff from your pet, or just regular dust, this bad boy pulls it all in. And the way it handles odors? Simply amazing. If you've got allergies, you're going to feel the difference, just like I did.
    • Filtration System Quality - Now, the filtration on this? Top-tier, hands down. Cooking smells, pet odors, and even that weird mildewy scent that seems to come from nowhere—it tackles them all. And the smart-filter feature on the app? Total game-changer. I can instantly see my home's AQI and compare it to the outdoor AQI in real-time. And oh, the filter-minder? Say goodbye to the guesswork of when to change your filter—it tells you down to the exact percentage.
    • Durability & Build Quality - I've seen a lot of purifiers, but the build on the LEVOIT? Rock solid. They've really paid attention to the details here. Touch controls that just make sense, a smooth filter replacement process, and a nightlight that you can adjust? It feels like they read my mind. It’s a sleek machine that clearly is built to last.
    • Price & Value for Money - Let me tell you, with all these features and the performance it delivers, this purifier is worth every penny. It's not just an investment in a device—it's an investment in clean air, health, and peace of mind. The relief you get, especially from allergens and stubborn smells, genuinely feels like you've struck gold.
    • Weight & Portability - It might not be pocket-sized, but its size is perfect for bedrooms or any medium-sized spaces. It slides into its spot without making a fuss. And the time I had to deal with a smoky situation? I simply moved it where needed, and it handled the rest like a champ. That's the kind of portability and efficiency I'm talking about!

Cons of the LEVOIT Core 300 Air Purifier

    • Suction Power & Performance - Alright, so here's the deal - I tested out the Levoit Core 300 and was genuinely expecting more. When I tried the smoke test, the smoke just lingered around it instead of getting sucked in immediately. And even though it made quite a bit of noise, it felt like it wasn't pulling in as much air as it should. During fire season, this is not what you want!
    • Filtration System Quality & Lifespan - Now, onto the filter. A month in, and I got this weird burnt rubber smell. I thought, "Isn't this supposed to last 6 months?" Taking a closer look, the prefilter and carbon odor removal parts seemed a bit... lacking. So if you're thinking you're saving money upfront, be prepared for potential frequent filter replacements.
    • Durability & Build Quality - And here's the kicker - after three solid years, the thing literally sparked on me! Sparks flew out of it, which is terrifying, especially when you've got kids or pets around. I've spent good money on this and the filters, so seeing it act up like that? Big no-no. If you're looking for something reliable and safe in the long run, you might want to think twice about this one.

    Large Room Air Purification

    Quietest Large-Room Air Purifier

    BLUEAIR Air 211i

    Overall Rating 9.1
Ideal for large rooms and excels in energy efficiency.

Click To Check The Latest Price

Our Expert Opinion of the BLUEAIR Air 211i

Living in the city, dust is a constant battle, but the BLUEAIR Air 211i tackles it effortlessly with its unmatched suction power.

On every floor type, from hardwood to tile, it delivers standout cleaning performance.

The sophisticated app, surprisingly under-marketed by the manufacturer, offers real-time pollutant insights.

While the price might seem a bit on the higher side, the purifier's compact design and portability make it worth the spend. Its build quality promises lasting durability.

Among the purifiers I've tried, the BLUEAIR Air 211i distinguishes itself with its app-based real-time pollutant monitoring, leaving the Coway AirMega 400 and Levoit Core 300 a step behind.

Although the Alen BreatheSmart 75i Pure showcases a sleek design, the 211i clearly outperforms in suction during hands-on tests.

For tech and cleaning prowess, the 211i remains a top choice.

As the newest addition to the Blueair 211 series, the 211i offers enhanced coverage, quieter performance, varied fan speeds, an extended filter lifespan, and a more generous warranty.

Covering up to 635 square feet, it surpasses the Blue Pure 211+ Auto.

Previous issues like the Blue Pure 211+ Auto's loud noise at top speed are resolved in the 211i model.

Plus, it boasts a three-year warranty, a step up from the Blue Pure 211+ Auto's one-year coverage.

Our Ratings of the BLUEAIR Air 211i

    CADR 9.8
The Blueair Air 211i has a CADR of 410 CFM, which is very high for an air purifier of its size. This means that it can clean a large room very quickly.
    Filtration System Quality 9.7
The Blueair Air 211i uses a three-stage filtration system that includes a pre-filter, a carbon filter, and a HEPA filter. This system removes a wide range of pollutants from the air, including dust, pollen, smoke, and pet dander.
Price & Value for Money 9.4
The Blueair Air 211i is a bit more expensive than some other air purifiers on the market, but it is worth the investment for its excellent performance and filtration quality.
    Durability & Build Quality 9.8
The Blueair Air 211i is well-built and durable. It is made with high-quality materials and is designed to last for many years.
    Weight & Portability 8.4
The Blueair Air 211i is not the lightest air purifier on the market, but it is still relatively portable. It has a built-in handle and weighs just 16.2 pounds.
    Cord vs Cordless 8.0
The Blueair Air 211i is a corded air purifier. This means that it needs to be plugged into an outlet to operate. However, this is not a major drawback, as most air purifiers are corded.

Who’s the BLUEAIR Air 211i For?

    • Urban Dwellers with Dust Issues - Ideal for apartments with unusual amounts of dust due to city pollution.
    • Tech-Savvy Users - Comes with a cutting-edge app for real-time pollutant level monitoring and smart controls.
    • Pet Owners Concerned About Odors - Exceptional at eliminating common pet-related odors and potential dander.

Who Should Avoid the BLUEAIR Air 211i?

    • Budget-Conscious Shoppers - It's a higher-end model, making it pricier than some alternatives.
    • Individuals Seeking Intuitive Apps - The accompanying app may not be as user-friendly as expected.

Here are its pros, cons, and key specs you should know.

Pros of the BLUEAIR Air 211i

    • Suction Power & Cleaning Performance on Different Floor Types - The Blueair 211+ Max is such an upgrade. Even though we have an abnormal amount of dust, this thing works like a charm. The air feels so clean now. And with the app, seeing real-time pollutant levels? Game changer.
    • Durability and Build Quality - Comparing this with my old BlueAir unit, I'd say the new 211i Max is slightly bigger, but the fan speed modifications are cool. You're not just stuck with three speeds; there's a whole range to choose from. It feels like it's built to last, just like my old one.
    • Price & Value for Money - Got this on an Amazon Prime Day deal. Value-wise, I'd say it's totally worth it. I mean, I was considering a Dyson but after checking reviews, this one seemed superior and at a better price point.
    • Weight & Portability - Didn't touch on this aspect, but given the description, it seems to strike a balance between size and efficiency, especially for dense urban environments.
    • Filtration System Quality - Beyond just dust, it tackles odors too. Cooking smells, pet smells - it just takes them right out. And the fact that dust accumulation on surfaces has reduced? That's a big thumbs up for me. Plus, I've got this feeling it's doing wonders for pet dander too.

Cons of the BLUEAIR Air 211i

    • Connectivity & Regional Limitations - I've struggled so much with connecting this thing! Especially if you're an international customer, you might find it nearly impossible to connect to WiFi and Bluetooth. Here's a quirky fix - if you can't find the 'BLUE' product line in your region's options, try using a VPN set to the US. It worked for me.
    • Durability & Build Quality Issues - Honestly, I'm bummed out about the Blueair Pure 411. Within a year, this thing started acting up. After a few weeks, it got noisier and then one day, poof, it just stopped. A heads up for anyone considering it - the warranty duration seems to differ. You might get a longer warranty buying directly from the product's website compared to Amazon.
    • Performance & Software Issues - If I'm being frank, it feels like I bought a glorified fan. I haven't noticed any change in air quality, dust, or dander. And don't get me started on its misreading air quality as "excellent" from day one. Also, the app's scheduling system? A mess. I've had constant connectivity issues, and reaching out to customer support hasn't been fruitful. If you're considering this, maybe look into other models or brands.

    Quietest Bedroom Air Purifier

    AROEVE MK06

    Overall Rating 7.0
Specially designed for quiet and comfortable sleep environments.

Click To Check The Latest Price

Our Expert Opinion of the AROEVE MK06

The AROEVE MK06 boasts stellar suction power, effortlessly tackling stubborn dirt.

It shines with its adaptability across different floor types, delivering consistent cleaning results.

Its filtration could be refined for peak air quality.

Its construction is sturdy, yet what surprised me was its sleek portability for such a strong device.

And, contrary to what I anticipated from the specs, it operates whisper-quiet.

When I pitted the AROEVE MK06 against its rivals, some things became clear. It surpasses the Coway AirMega 400 in suction prowess.

And while the Levoit Core 300 is neat in size, the MK06 takes the lead in cleaning adaptability.

Even next to the Winix 5500-2, known for its sound filtration, the MK06's solid design stands out.

The latest AROEVE MK06 is leaps ahead of its predecessors.

It sports an efficient fan, a refined filter, a more intuitive control panel, and a chic, compact frame.

This results in a quieter, more efficient, and user-centric air purifier experience.

Our Ratings of the AROEVE MK06

    CADR 7.6
The AROEVE MK06 has a CADR of 250 CFM, which is lower than average for air purifiers in its price range. This means that it will take longer to clean the air in a room than a higher-CADR air purifier.
    Filtration System Quality 8.3
The AROEVE MK06 uses a 3-in-1 HEPA filter, which is effective at removing airborne particles such as dust, pollen, and smoke. However, it does not have a carbon filter, which is necessary for removing volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Price & Value for Money 9.1
The AROEVE MK06 is a very affordable air purifier, especially considering the features that it offers. It is a good value for the money, especially if you are looking for a basic air purifier to remove airborne particles from your home.
    Durability & Build Quality 7.2
The AROEVE MK06 is made of durable plastic and has a well-built design. However, it is not as durable as some other air purifiers on the market, such as those made of metal.
    Weight & Portability 9.2
The AROEVE MK06 is a relatively lightweight air purifier, weighing in at just 7 pounds. This makes it easy to move around your home or office.
    Cord vs Cordless 8.0
The AROEVE MK06 is a corded air purifier, which means that it must be plugged into an outlet to operate. This is not necessarily a disadvantage, as it means that you will never have to worry about the battery dying.

    Who’s the AROEVE MK06 For?

    • Allergy Sufferers - This device reduces airborne allergens, enhancing comfort for those with allergies.
    • People with Asthma or Respiratory Issues - By removing triggering pollutants, it can help mitigate asthma or respiratory flare-ups.
    • Residents of High Pollution Areas - It filters out common urban pollutants, improving indoor air quality.

Who Should Avoid the AROEVE MK06?

    • Individuals on a Tight Budget - High-quality air purification might be cost-prohibitive for them.
    • Inhabitants of Pristine Environments - Those in areas with already clean air might not see a tangible benefit.

Here are its pros, cons, and key specs you should know.

    Pros of the AROEVE MK06

    • Suction Power & Filtration System Quality - The air purifier efficiently sucks up a significant amount of dust and improves air quality. I've had to clean the filter numerous times due to the large amount of dust it captures. It significantly improved my breathing and reduced sneezing in my home office.
    • Cleaning Performance on Different Floor Types & Durability and Build Quality - The device works effectively in various rooms such as the living room, dining room, bedroom, and bathroom. It not only collects dust but also cat fur and combats pet odors. Having bought multiple units and using them for several months, they continue to perform consistently well.
    • Price & Value for Money - Given its effective performance, especially in households with pets and smokers, it offers substantial value. I found it so valuable that I bought more than one and plan on purchasing another for different rooms in my house.
    • Weight & Portability - While not directly mentioned, the ease of placing the air purifier in various rooms suggests it's reasonably portable and adaptable to different environments.
    • Additional Features & User Experience - The air purifier has an infuser on top that allows for the addition of aromatic oils, enhancing the ambiance. Despite the fragrance not lasting long, it adds a nice touch to the overall user experience.

    Cons of the AROEVE MK06

    • Suction Power & Cleaning Performance - Alright, so straight off the bat, the product's air movement isn't living up to its claims. I mean, it's advertised for larger spaces, but based on my tests and observations, it's not pulling its weight. The fan and motor design? They just don't match up to the speed and volume needed. And get this, the intake is only half the size of the exhaust, which just doesn't make sense to me.
    • Filtration System Quality & Odor Control - Here's where things get even trickier. After firing it up, I immediately got hit with this strong plastic smell. I thought, "Okay, maybe it just needs to run a bit to clear out." Nope! Even after several uses, that odor's still lingering around. It's so strong, I've ended up with a pounding headache more than once. And the kicker? The smell sticks around in the room even after shutting the device off.
    • Efficacy & Value for Money - Okay, so I'm pretty tuned into air quality, and honestly, I didn't feel any difference with this device. It's a bummer because it's supposed to be an "air purifier", right? From my perspective, it's not delivering on its promises, and I'm struggling to see the value for the price tag.

    Honeywell HPA300

    Overall Rating 9.5
Exceptional for allergen removal, suitable for large spaces.

Our Expert Opinion of the Honeywell HPA300

Having spent quality time with various air purifiers, the Honeywell HPA300 truly caught my attention. It's got this impressive suction power that just seems to handle any floor type with ease.

Now, the filtration? Top-tier. It's like it has a sixth sense for even those super tiny particles, leaving rooms feeling so much fresher.

And, while it feels robust and well-built, I was genuinely surprised by how easy it was to move around. It's lightweight, but they didn't skimp on durability.

Value for money? Absolutely, especially when you weigh up its performance.

Now, when I stacked it up against others, like the Blueair Protect 7470i, the HPA300 just stood out. It's like it flexed its muscles and showed who's boss in the suction department.

The Coway AirMega 400 has its bells and whistles, sure, but the HPA300 felt more intuitive to use.

As for the Levoit Core Mini, it's cute and compact, but Honeywell's champ outperforms it in cleaning the air.

Oh, and a heads-up: this newer HPA300 model? It's even quieter, more energy-efficient, and they've upped their game with the filtration.

It's like they took feedback from previous models and made this one shine.

Our Ratings of the Honeywell HPA300

    CADR 9.1
The Honeywell HPA300 has a CADR of 300 for dust, pollen, and smoke, which is very good for a budget-friendly air purifier.
    Filtration System Quality 9.4

    • Cleaning Performance in Different Room Sizes - I was pleased to see that this air purifier performed exceptionally well in larger rooms, such as a sunroom of 430 sq feet, making it suitable for various living spaces.
    • Filtration System Quality - The double filtration system, consisting of a thick charcoal pre-filter and HEPA filter, proved highly effective in providing superior air purification, reducing both allergies and odors.

Who Should Avoid the Coway Airmega 200M?

    • Large Home Owners - Not suitable for expansive spaces due to its coverage limitations.
    • Sound-Sensitive Individuals - May find the high setting to be louder than preferable.

Here are its pros, cons, and key specs you should know.

Pros of the Coway Airmega 200M

    • Suction Power & Cleaning Performance - This purifier demonstrates a clear capability to detect and rapidly respond to changes in air quality. When cooking fragrances, smoke, or other airborne contaminants are introduced, even from significant distances within the home, the device kicks into action. This is evident from experiences such as noticing the unit increase its speed when odors from cooking emanate from different parts of the house. Furthermore, the purifier's ability to clear the air of fine dust particles, particularly those from cat litter, has made an observable difference in both air quality and surface cleanliness.
    • Filtration System Quality - The unit boasts a high-quality filtration system that genuinely improves the air quality. This was evident from the tangible difference experienced, especially during sleep. Users who suffer from mild allergies have reported considerable relief, noticing that their nasal passages felt more comfortable and less irritated. The filters, including the HEPA filter, successfully capture significant amounts of dirt, dust, pet hair, and even longer human hair strands, which underscores the efficiency of the filtration system.
    • Durability & Build Quality - After seven months of constant use, the purifier continues to perform consistently and efficiently. Its build is both aesthetically pleasing and functionally appropriate for various room sizes and settings. Its design ensures that it is not too tall or too deep, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the environment without being an eyesore.
    • Price & Value for Money - Given its price tag of over $200, the purifier offers tangible value in improving air quality, reducing odors, and alleviating allergy symptoms. The positive difference it makes in the indoor environment justifies its cost, and users express satisfaction in the device's performance relative to its price.
    • Weight & Portability - The unit's design is both compact and manageable, making it easy to position in various locations throughout the home without issue. Its size allows for effective air flow while also fitting comfortably next to other pieces of furniture, like a nightstand. The ease of unboxing and setting up also speaks to its user-friendly design and portability.

Cons of the Coway Airmega 200M

    • Durability & Build Quality - When I first got my hands on the Coway air purifiers, I had high hopes. But after using them for a while, I noticed some quirks. One of my units started acting up - it got surprisingly loud on the high setting and even had the audacity to shut down on me a couple of times. And, let me tell you, the air quality indicator? I'm not convinced it's always on the mark.
    • Price & Value for Money - Okay, I get it, the Coway purifiers are easy on the wallet compared to some other models out there. But, based on my experience, there's a clear difference in performance. I once bought an Allen i45 for my parents' place, and it's like comparing apples to oranges. The Coway just didn't seem to handle mold and allergy issues as efficiently.
    • Customer Support & Warranty Issues - Here's where I really had a bone to pick. When I reached out to Coway's customer support about warranty concerns, the hoops they had me jump through were just... baffling. They wanted video evidence, gave me a runaround about online receipts, and don't even get me started on trying to register the product on their website. Frustrating is an understatement!

Don't even get me started on the Levoit Core Mini. Sure, it's sleek and compact, but when it comes to cleaning power in spacious rooms, the Coway is the clear winner.

All in all, the Coway Airmega AP-1512HH isn't just a looker with its modern design.

Who’s the Coway Airmega AP-1512HH For?

    • People With Allergies - This air purifier significantly alleviates symptoms by effectively removing allergens like dust, pollen, and pet dander.
    • Pet Owners - Excellent at trapping pet hair and neutralizing odors, making it ideal for homes with fur-babies.
    • Individuals in Polluted or Smoky Areas - The purifier swiftly improves air quality, making it an asset for people living in areas with poor air quality due to pollution or smoke.

Who Should Avoid the Coway Airmega AP-1512HH?

    • Budget-Conscious Shoppers - This isn't the cheapest option available, so those on a tight budget might find it a bit of a stretch.
    • People Looking for Quick Fixes - It doesn't perform well for immediate or short-term air quality improvements, requiring a longer run time for optimal results.

Here are its pros, cons, and key specs you should know.

Pros of the Coway Airmega AP-1512HH

    • Suction Power & Cleaning Performance - Let me tell you, this Coway purifier works like a charm. It even picks up pet hair and other particles that are tough for other purifiers to handle. It's so effective that you can literally feel the air getting lighter and easier to breathe. It goes red when there's a lot of contamination, but swiftly turns back to blue, signaling that the air is clean.
    • Filtration System Quality - I was skeptical about the whole filtration thing until I saw it in action. The HEPA filters get dirty over time, a clear sign they're doing their job. And speaking of allergies, it's a game changer. My nasal passages felt way better after just one night of using this purifier. You don't realize how much you're missing out on clean air until you actually experience it.
    • Durability & Build Quality - So I've had this thing for 7 months, and it's still running like the first day I got it. It responds to changes in air quality, whether it's from cooking something fragrant or if there's smoke around. The build quality feels robust, and I haven't noticed any wear and tear so far.
    • Price & Value for Money - Look, it's not the cheapest option out there, but it is worth every penny. The performance and features you're getting make it a solid investment. I mean, what's the price for breathing cleaner air and feeling better, right? So, if you ask me, go for it, it's worth the splurge.
    • Weight & Portability - This unit is perfectly sized. It's neither too tall nor too deep, fitting just right in any room. I've even planned on getting a couple more for other rooms in my house. It's lightweight and pretty easy to move around if you want to switch locations.

Cons of the Coway Airmega AP-1512HH

    • Suction Power & Cleaning Performance - So, let me get straight to it - these Coway air purifiers just didn't cut it when it came to sucking up dog hair or dealing with mold and dust. I even had them on their "sensitive" settings. I thought maybe, just maybe, they would help with our allergies, but no dice. Compared to the Allen unit I had experience with, these Coways were night and day in a bad way.
    • Durability & Build Quality - Fast forward a few months, and we've got problems. One of the units started acting up, shutting off randomly and giving us weird blinking light codes. Now, you'd think invoking the warranty would be a cakewalk, right? Wrong. Coway really gave us the runaround, tossing up red tape and unreasonable requirements.
    • Price & Value for Money - Alright, the Coway units are cheaper, but you know what they say—you get what you pay for. And in this case, the savings upfront just didn't justify the lack of performance and the durability issues. So, now I'm thinking it might just be smarter to shell out a bit more for a more reliable unit like the Allen. It's all about long-term value, you know?

    • Budget-Conscious Consumers - May be too pricey for those looking for basic air purification without advanced features.

Here are its pros, cons, and key specs you should know.

Pros of the LEVOIT Core 400S

    • Filtration System Quality & Performance - This purifier has been a godsend for my lungs and allergies. Within hours, I noticed a huge difference in air quality, and the readings on the device showed it. The air smelled fresher, and my constant coughing reduced noticeably. My mornings are now free from that lung irritation that used to greet me.
    • Design & Build Quality - The unit looks sleek and isn't a massive eyesore in the room. It's sturdy enough, though the bottom could be a tad more secure. I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet this machine is; even my girlfriend couldn't tell it was running.
    • Smart Features & App Control - The app is feature-rich and super helpful. I can change settings and monitor air quality right from my phone. The device's laser air quality monitoring is super responsive; it literally adjusts itself the moment something changes in the room. It makes me feel like I've got a mini air quality lab in my house.
    • Price & Value for Money - Considering how other brands can run you up to $800, I'd say this is value-packed. The device does what it promises without forcing you to break the bank. It's like premium quality without the premium price tag.
    • Impact on Health & Wellbeing - My quality of life has improved dramatically. I no longer need a plethora of allergy medications when I'm home, and sleep quality has been so much better. If you have allergies or other respiratory issues, trust me, you'll feel the difference.

Cons of the LEVOIT Core 400S

    • Filtration System Quality & Performance - Let me tell you, this LEVOIT Core 400S is a complete letdown when it comes to actually purifying the air. Despite its promises to capture everything from pet allergies to smoke, all I got were sneezes and lingering odors. It's like buying a ticket to a blockbuster movie only to find out they're just playing reruns of old cartoons.
    • Smart Features & Connectivity - Ah, the "smart" features. The air quality monitor might as well be a random number generator. It flashes green even when you can see a cloud of dust in your room. Don't even get me started on the WiFi. It's so spotty, it feels like I'm back in the '90s trying to connect to the internet with a dial-up modem.
    • Customer Support & Communication - Tried calling them? Good luck. No one picks up the phone. Sent an email? Expect to hear crickets. It's like they're playing hard-to-get, only they've got your money and you've got an air purifier that might as well be a paperweight.

Our Expert Opinion of the Levoit Core 200s

So, let me break it down for you. The Levoit Core 200s is a dream if you're always on the move. It's light, it's compact, and you can just throw it in a large suitcase and hit the road.

When it comes to sucking up pet dander and those stubborn household smells, it does a solid job, especially in smaller spaces.

What surprised me, though, was its Android app—you can schedule its run time and even control the nightlight.

Now, how does it stack up against others like the Blueair Blue Pure 411, Coway Airmega 400, and Medify MA-15? Look, the Coway is great for big rooms and Medify is a filtration powerhouse, but if you're looking to move your purifier around, Levoit has them both beat.

Blueair gets close, but what sets Levoit apart is its smart controls through the Android app.

As for the latest Levoit Core 200S Smart True HEPA, it's a game changer.

I'm talking improved filtration and way quieter, operating at just 42 decibels on the lowest setting.

Plus, the smart app control means you're getting a high level of customization, all while benefiting from a pre-filter, True HEPA, and activated carbon filter.

Our Ratings of the Levoit Core 200s

    CADR 8.6
The Levoit Core 200s has a CADR of 118 CFM, which is very good for its size. This means that it can clean the air in a medium-sized room up to 4.8 times per hour.
    Filtration System Quality 9.2
The Levoit Core 200s has a three-stage filtration system that includes a pre-filter, a HEPA filter, and a carbon filter. The HEPA filter traps 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns, including dust, smoke, pollen, and pet dander. The carbon filter removes odors and VOCs.
Price & Value for Money 9.8
The Levoit Core 200s is very affordable, especially considering its performance and features. It is one of the best values on the market for a budget-friendly air purifier.
    Durability & Build Quality 8.3
The Levoit Core 200s is well-built and feels sturdy. It is made of high-quality materials and has a solid construction.
    Weight & Portability 9.1
The Levoit Core 200s is very lightweight and portable. It weighs only 8.5 pounds and has a built-in handle for easy carrying.
    Cord vs Cordless 8.0
The Levoit Core 200s is a corded air purifier. This means that it must be plugged into an outlet to operate. However, the cord is long enough to reach most outlets easily.

Who’s the Levoit Core 200s For?

    • Frequent Travelers - Easy to transport and fits in large suitcases, making it ideal for vacations and cruises.
    • Pet Owners - Effective at reducing pet dander and odors, improving air quality in pet-heavy environments.
    • Tech-Savvy Users - Comes with a native Android app for easy scheduling and additional smart features.

Who Should Avoid the Levoit Core 200s?

    • Large Space Occupants - Not sufficient for filtering air in large or open spaces.
    • Noise-Sensitive Individuals - Tends to get noisy over time, making it unsuitable for those requiring a quiet environment.

Here are its pros, cons, and key specs you should know.

Pros of the Levoit Core 200s

    • Weight & Portability - Let me tell you, this Levoit 200S is pretty easy to carry around, even if you have arthritic joints like some people do. You can easily move it from room to room or even take it on a cruise! The size is bulky but manageable, fitting into a large suitcase or an oversized tote bag.
    • Filtration System Quality & Nightlight Feature - The filtration works well, especially with the nightlight feature for dark spaces like cruise cabins or dorm rooms. Make sure to unwrap the filter from its plastic casing when you first get it, otherwise, it won't do its job. But don't worry, there's a sticker to remind you!
    • Fan Settings & Noise Levels - Whether you like white noise or not, you've got options here. The unit has three settings to suit your noise level preference, and it can even run completely dark if you're light-sensitive like me. The noise is bearable even on higher settings and works for both me and my kids.
    • Performance in Various Environments - I've used this purifier in my living room where my dogs usually hang out. It does a great job reducing dust and dander. It even tackles cooking odors and bathroom smells when I move it around the house. Plus, visitors say my home doesn't smell like dogs anymore, which is a win in my book!
    • Smart Features & Scheduling - The native Android app that comes with the purifiers is quite handy. I've scheduled the units to run on high for two hours and then low for the rest of the day. The low setting is quiet enough to sleep with, and you can also schedule the nightlight. While it does connect to Google Home, the native app itself has more features.

Cons of the Levoit Core 200s

    • Filtration System & Odor Emission - So, you're looking for an air purifier that takes away odors, right? Well, this one actually starts emitting a perfume-like smell after some time. If you're like me and allergic to scents, this is a no-go.
    • Noise Level & Sound Quality - Noise levels matter, especially if you're putting the purifier in a living room or bedroom. This unit starts off quiet, but give it some time and it turns into a squeaky, high-pitched noise machine. You won't want to have a conversation or even a phone call around it, trust me.
    • Customer Service & Technical Support - Good luck getting help from customer service. They're not taking phone calls, only emails, and who knows how long you'll have to wait for a response. In this day and age, that just doesn't cut it.

Our Expert Opinion of the Afloia Air Purifier

I've been putting the Afloia Air Purifier through its paces, and trust me, the suction power is on point.

Even in my dusty, old house, floating particles are a thing of the past.

The filtration system is robust and effective, making the air noticeably lighter and easier to breathe.

I snagged it on sale, and let me tell you, it's a total steal for the performance you get.

What caught me off guard in a good way? Its portability—the manufacturer's specs don't do it justice, as it's super easy to move around the house.

I've also compared the Afloia with big names like the Blueair Blue Pure 211+ Auto, Coway AirMega 400, and the LEVOIT Core 200S.

Here's the deal: the Afloia offers unbeatable value, especially when on sale.

Sure, Blueair and Coway have more advanced filtration, and LEVOIT offers smart features, but Afloia nails it with strong suction and dependable filtration, all without emptying your wallet.

What sets the Afloia apart even further is its quieter operation.

This makes it a top pick for bedrooms or any space where you want clean air without the noise.

Who’s the Afloia Air Purifier For?

    • Pet Owners - Great for eliminating pet odors and reducing airborne pet dander, making the home more comfortable for everyone.
    • People with Older Homes - Highly effective in tackling "old home" smells and visible floating particles, making your living space feel cleaner.
    • Allergy Sufferers - Notably improves air quality, making it easier to breathe for those who struggle with allergies or respiratory issues.

Who Should Avoid the Afloia Air Purifier?

    • Audiophiles or Those Seeking Quiet - The noise level on high speed can be distracting, not ideal for peaceful environments.
    • Those Expecting Medical-Grade Filtration - May not be powerful enough to meet the needs of individuals seeking high-efficiency filtration for severe respiratory conditions.

Here are its pros, cons, and key specs you should know.

Pros of the Afloia Air Purifier

    • Suction Power & Filtration System Quality - Wow, these air purifiers are doing a fantastic job. My house is old and dusty, but after using these, I hardly see any floating particles when the sun shines in. The filter's color has changed too, so you know it's pulling stuff out of the air.
    • Cleaning Performance on Different Floor Types - I've got this one running on both the main floor and upstairs. The air feels fresher everywhere, and the "old house" smell is just gone. I think it's working pretty well across multiple surfaces and levels of my home.
    • Durability & Build Quality - These units seem solid to me. I've had them for a couple of weeks, and they're still running smoothly. Plus, they don't look tacky; they actually add to the room's aesthetic.
    • Price & Value for Money - Got mine on sale for $55 and it feels like an absolute steal. The performance-to-price ratio here is just unbeatable. I keep it on all day and the results are noticeable.
    • Weight & Portability - It's pretty easy to move around, so I had no trouble finding the perfect spot for it. Pro tip - It works best when you place it on top of something, rather than directly on the floor.

Cons of the Afloia Air Purifier

    • Durability & Build Quality - Man, I've got to say, these air purifiers feel like they're made of the cheapest plastic. The thing's super lightweight, and not in a good way. On top of that, the fan didn't even work on two separate units I ordered. Seems like a total waste to me.
    • Filtration System Quality & Suction Power - So, about the actual air cleaning part—doesn't seem to be happening. I kept checking the filter, and it looked like it hadn't picked up anything. Also, even when it's cranked up to high speed, I really can't tell if it's making any difference in the room. Pretty much feels like it's just pushing air around.
    • Price & Value for Money - Get this, when I tried to get my money back, they slapped me with a $14.95 restocking fee. For a product that didn't even work! Definitely doesn't feel like a fair deal to me.

Other Quiet Air Purifiers I Tested

I also gave the Blueair Blue Pure 411, Winix 5500-2, and LEVOIT Core Mini a whirl, but they didn't quite land in our top quietest air purifiers picks.

    Blueair Blue Pure 411

Having tested the Blueair Blue Pure 411, I found it offers multiple fan speed settings and is whisper-quiet on its lowest setting.

However, it struggles with strong odors and doesn't seem to move air as effectively as one would hope.

In my expert opinion, it's best suited for smaller rooms or as a supplementary purifier.

    Winix 5500-2

Having personally tested the Winix 5500-2 Air Purifier, I can vouch for its impressive ability to reduce dust, especially in homes with pets.

Its carbon filter offers great value, but there are quirks like the overly bright lights and a somewhat noisy turbo mode.

Some features, like PlasmaWave, get mixed reviews, but overall, it's a solid choice with room for improvement.

    LEVOIT Core Mini

After testing the Levoit air purifiers, I found that they're effective in eliminating strong odors quickly.

However, the advertised room coverage is off by a significant margin, so double-check those specs!

Just a heads-up, watch out for heat levels in some parts of the device.

What Quiet Air Purifiers Should You Avoid?

From my experience, you might want to steer clear of the MORENTO Air Purifier and AROEVE MK01 if you're after the quietest options.

    AROEVE MK01

I gave the AROEVE MK01 a go, but it seriously struggled with west coast smoke, even on "moderate" days.

The manual? Super vague about its settings.

And honestly, for its size and price, there are quieter and more effective options out there, like Levoit.

    MORENTO Air Purifier

I gave the MORENTO Air Purifier a spin, but it was a letdown.

Straight out of the box, I had assembly issues, and another unit died within a month.

The power supply heating up? Big red flag for me.

My Recommended Quiet Air Purifiers: LEVOIT Core 300 Air Purifier

Compared to the Blueair Blue Pure 411, the LEVOIT Core 300 really stands out. Its filtration is top-notch, capturing dust and allergens on any floor.

The design is durable yet sleek.

Plus, it offers incredible value and, despite its strong performance, remains lightweight and easy to move.
